Overview
Black Widow is an attacker that has a strong suit in paralyzing enemies. She has decent survivability, multiple self-synergies and two abilities that have the Shock attribute. She’s one of the few that can imbue even her basic attacks with the shock element thanks to her Widow’s Kiss ability, allowing her to further increase her paralysis rate.

Traits
Element: Shock
Allows Black Widow’s batons to be charged with shock element, giving a paralyzing ability attribute to attacks for a short while. She can self-activate this by using her Widow’s Kiss ability. It can also be activated by special ISO-8 or by being in range of a team member ability that adds shock element.
Attacks & Abilities
Light attack
A 4-hit combo string. All four hits are melee-type attacks. When her “Element: Shock” passive is active, this attack gains an ability attribute tag.
Heavy attack
An backward flip kick that launches enemies into the air and deals decent Stagger damage. A melee-type attack. When her “Element: Shock” passive is active, this attack gains an ability attribute tag.
Air Attack
Black Widow plummets down into a ground baton slam that launches enemies. This is useful for when you find yourself above an enemy after jumping over an attack or obstacle. A melee-type attack. When her “Element: Shock” passive is active, this attack gains an ability attribute tag.
Covering Fire
Black Window leaps backward and rapidly fires her twin pistols. The attack can be continuously fired by repeatedly pressing the button. This attack works best when used as a synergy attack, providing excellent range and damage with “Ricochet” and “Scatter Shot” synergies. Can also be used as a ranged attack when you need to conserve HP without getting too close to dangerous enemies.
Widow’s Kiss
Lunges forward with an electrified double baton strike with a burst of electricity at the end. The attack button can be held to continually deal Shock ability damage. This is her most damaging ability, but should only be used when there’s a clear opening since the attack locks her in place for a few seconds. Self-synergizes with Widowmaker.
Widowmaker
Several grenades are tossed out onto the battlefield. They have a delayed explosion, providing two different self-synergy options. Use Widow’s Kiss or Widow’s Bite after using this attack for a powerful self-synergy.
Widow’s Bite
A leaping slam that ruptures the ground with Shock attribute damage. This ability works best on groups for dealing damage and stagger. It’s also a good option for dealing damage when you don’t have enough time to use Widow’s Kiss. Self-synergizes with Widowmaker.
EX: Extreme
Black Widow tosses grenades and then leaps into the air, firing down with her pistols, and finally crashes down with a charged baton slam. The area of affect and final powerful strike work well for both groups of enemies and single targets.
Strategy
Boss / Strong Enemy
Use Widowmaker into Window’s Bite for a quick, widespread way to deal decent Stagger and HP damage. If low on EP, use her hevay attack to help bring down their Stagger gauge. Once staggered, get an easy Stun by using either of her self-synergy attacks.
Continue to deal lots of damage by using her Widowmaker into Widow’s Kiss self-synergy for great HP damage. When the target is stunned is the perfect time to make use of Widow’s Kiss since it has a long attack animation. Her light attacks work well to recover EP, especially after being charged with shock element following Widow’s Kiss.
Weak Enemy
Both of her Widowmaker self-synergies are great for crowd control and wiping out grunts in the vicinity. Using her light and heavy attacks take care of enemies well and also help to cleanup and regain EP.
Tips
- Try to use Widow’s Kiss just enough to keep her batons charged with shock element. It will help you deal more damage and paralyze more enemies overall.
- Using Widowmaker before either Widow’s Kiss or Widow’s Bite is the best way to get the most damage out of both abilities. Widowmaker has a very quick animation and provides lots of self-synergy damage.
- When enemies start to swarm her, use her Widowmaker into Widow’s Bite self-synergy. It provides an “Eruption” synergy that will blow away even powerful enemies.
- Pepper in light and heavy attacks to keep your EP up. Using an ability directly after a light or heavy attack will help to speed up the light/heavy end animation.
- If you want to spam a heavy attack, hold L while repeatedly tapping the heavy attack button to speed up the end animation and use the attack at a faster rate.
