Retro Series: Digimon Game

As requested by “Paco”, I have retrieved the files of the main Digimon game from the Fox Kids website. The game itself is simply titled “Digimon Game”. It took me a while to get used to the controls, as it doesn’t seem to tell you how to play exactly. I’ve explained the control system in this article, so keep reading if you’re confused.

In order to play the game, you’ll need to make sure that you have Adobe Shockwave Player installed (formerly Macromedia Shockwave) and you need to “Allow” it to run when prompted.

You can visit the “Retro” section or click here to play Digimon Game.

About this game…

This game is a bit difficult, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing. The goal is collect pieces of a “special crest” to prevent evil Digimon from escaping into the real world. You play as Tai and Agumon, and navigate the stage by clicking the mouse pointer. You can collect mushrooms as Tai, but if you want to attack you have to switch to Agumon. You can switch players by clicking the icon of the characters head on the lower left-hand side of the game. To attack as Agumon, press the space bar. Agumon’s flame is a bit of an ineffectual attack, but you can evolve into Greymon once you’ve collected 30 mushrooms, and his fire blasts are much more effective. If you have any tips please leave them in the comments section!

This game/Shockwave 7 does not work with some web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc…) so I would suggest using a browser suggested in this article’s list.

If you’d like me to dig up another game from your childhood past that you can’t seem to find, feel free to ask in the comments. If you find any glitches let me know so I may update this post.

Yeah I just finished beating the game. Anyways There was only two levels right? I couldn’t remember because it been too long. Do you have Mystic Knight of Tira Nog?

  2. Paco

Ah sorry to ask about the mystic knight game again. I read the old comment I posted and forgot I already asked about it. Yeah I remember it was on fox kids when the show was still airing. It was the game that caused my library to block the fox kids website because button spamming the space bar was too noisy with the old keyboards.

I’m having trouble finding the Tir Na Nog assets, or even the game itself. I’ll keep trying to find them though! Can you describe more of the controls if you can remember, or what the game was like?

It been way too long but i think it was direction pad to move and space to attack. It was like an overhead view of a maze while you control your character and slay monster that was in you way. You don’t need to go find it if its causing too much trouble.

I have good news for you! I’ll be posting an update later today on retro updates that I think you’ll find exciting.

    Keep checking back!

There was a game on the Fox Kids website about a guy and his family. One of the mini-games included matching the farts with each family member. All I remember of the title was the name Andy… Does this give any info? I wish I remembered more of it.
