I figured it’s about time I filled you guys in on the project I’m working on. It’s gone through a ton of internal changes, but here’s what I’ve now settled with:
- 2D Platformer MMO
- Team up with friends to defeat monsters
- “Pick-up and play” type design
- Less RPG elements than most MMOs
- Users can collect an “ability card” that allows them to use special techniques
- Ability cards display attack information and statuses
- World features live weather and a “corruption mode” in which a virus attacks the game’s code (all simulated of course)
- Written in AS3, so will be cross-platform compatible
In addition to all of this, my good friend Trey will be writing music and providing SFX for the game. Keep me in your feed for more news soon!
